City & Guilds 2330, NVQ Level 3: Electro Technological Engineering. Apprentice-trained and fully qualified since 2004.

City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing (2391-52): covering initial verification and periodic inspection and testing (EICRs).

City & Guilds Level 3 Award in EV Charging Point Installation (2921-34): covering BS 7671 Section 722 and the IET Code of Practice.

Additional Qualifications

NEBOSH National General Certificate: Occupational Health and Safety. A qualification held by very few sole-trader electricians.

ILM Level 3 Award: Leadership and Management.

Accreditations & Approvals

NAPIT Approved Contractor: all work self-certified and notified to Building Control where required.

Which? Trusted Traders: independently vetted and endorsed. Access to Alternative Dispute Resolution for all domestic customers.

The Person Behind the Business

I’m Matt Ashworth, owner of Mashworth Services.

I started as an apprentice electrician in 2004 and have since worked across domestic, commercial, and project environments, including retail fit-outs for major brands. Before starting Mashworth Services, I delivered electrical work for companies including John Lewis, Waitrose and intu.

That experience shaped how I approach every job: clear communication, attention to detail, and doing things properly.

I set up Mashworth Services to offer a more straightforward, transparent service, where customers understand exactly what’s being done and can trust the standard of work.

When you contact Mashworth Services, you deal directly with me. I oversee every project and stay responsible for the work from start to finish.
