How We Work

Every project we carry out follows a clear, structured process – designed to give you confidence from the outset and ensure the work is delivered properly from start to finish.

Electrical work isn’t something that should be worked out as a project progresses. Taking the time to plan properly, define the scope clearly, and coordinate where needed allows the installation to be completed efficiently and to the right standard.

Whether it’s a full rewire, renovation, or smaller upgrade, the same approach applies – clear communication, careful planning, and consistent quality throughout.

The stages below outline how your project will typically progress.

Clear, Itemised, and Agreed Before We Start

Following the site visit, we’ll provide a full written quote detailing the scope of work, the specification, and the cost. We don’t provide ballpark figures over the phone — every quote is based on what we’ve actually seen and assessed on site.

Our quotes are itemised so you can see exactly what you’re paying for. If there are options or alternatives worth considering, we’ll present these clearly so you can make an informed decision.

Nothing is agreed until you’re happy with the quote and have confirmed in writing. There is no pressure and no obligation.

On Site - What to Expect

Once the quote is agreed and a start date is confirmed, we’ll keep you informed of the programme and what to expect at each stage.

For larger projects – extensions, rewires, garden rooms – the work typically takes place over multiple visits. We’ll agree the schedule in advance and coordinate with any other trades involved.

We work cleanly and considerately. At the end of every visit, the work area is left tidy and the property is left fully functional until the next stage begins. We never consider a job complete until you’re completely happy.

How We Handle Variations

Changes can sometimes occur during a project, whether due to adjustments, coordination with other works, or something unexpected being identified.

Every variation is managed in a clear, structured way and fully documented. No additional work is ever carried out without your agreement.

How Payment Works

For most jobs, payment is due on completion once you’re satisfied everything has been completed to the agreed standard.

For larger projects (typically over £5,000), we use a staged payment structure so costs are spread across the project. The stages, amounts, and timing are agreed with you in writing before work begins.

The first stage — an initiation fee — secures your booking date and allows us to begin planning and material procurement. It forms part of your total price, not an addition to it.

What We Cover — and What We Don’t

Electrical work can be intrusive — it may involve lifting floorboards, chasing walls, and drilling through building fabric. We’ll always work as carefully and cleanly as possible.

Final redecoration and making good (replastering, painting, tiling) falls outside our scope unless specifically included in your quote. We’ll always be clear about this upfront.

Similarly, waste removal falls outside our scope unless stated. If you’d like us to arrange disposal, let us know and we can include it.

Certification, Documentation, and Handover

Every job is completed with the appropriate certification and documentation. All certificates are issued digitally and a copy is retained on file.
